Another Blog by Bourgeois...

OOOhhhh Momma!

Oh Wowzer, Momma's goin' banana's over here, what with all the squakin' and wing droppin' and carryin' on and everything! Two shots later, I backed off and let the poor little critter calm her wee self down and get back to her normal life again. :-)

* While scannin' my HD yesterday, I rediscovered a blog I had begun In June over @ Tripod dot com. Jeepers, I think I may be getting in a little deep with all these Blogs, Lenses, Hubpages and Websites, perhaps. :-)

You can click the Title above or the highlighted link below, to go to another Blog that I had forgotten about, kind of. I had started it @ Tripod, while working on one of my webpages over there, when I saw their mention of a NEW Blog building opportunity. Of course I couldn't resist.

Anyway, I spruced it up a tad, from the last entry in the summer and figured I'd link it up over here too. I still need to learn how to line up the photo's a little better though. ;-) So, here's a little update for Y'all!

So I guess it's time I mentioned a little about where I've been lately, what? :-) Truth be known, I've been developing my writing skills still further by spending a lot of time over at a very Cool place by the name of Squidoo! You get to make Lenses over there, for Free! You get to share the things you like and have a passion for, with anyone else out there in the world who can find Your very own, neat little, hand-made, artistic creation. As a matter of fact Your very first one might even make ya feel a little God-like, sort of. :-) Oh ya, and these Lens thingys are pretty easy to get on to, once you get goin' and there's a TON of help around ANYTIME you need it.

So anyway, If you are maybe the sort who likes to dabble at Writing, then this Squidoo place, could very well be the spot for You! I've already got over half a dozen Lenses happenin' out there on the web now and soon will be makin' a few more too. I just LOVE them to pieces, and I'm not the only one either. Nope, not by a long shot. The Great Google Himself, pulls my stuff to the top of the heap, for my fairly generic keywords and phrases and pictures and stuff. ;-) I can't recommend this great Squidoo place any higher, than to say it is Simply Sqidilicious! There, I've said it. It's FIVE Stars, all the way! Go Go Squidoo!

Here's a link to my new little Survival slanted Squidoo Lens over there to go with some of these pics & stuff...

Survival Stuff... Maybe it will get YOU going on Your very own little Lens too, you Never know! :-)

Cheers Y'all,

More rain...

September is turning out to be a fairly rainy month. Well, for one thing, that means I will be spending more time in here then. :-) I have lots of photo work, including resizing to do and many things to write about. So, with this help (push) from the weather, mentally I'm already gearing up for the winter, it would seem. These blogs, lenses, hubs and web-pages I've made, have sure taken a lot of time out of me. Time that I used to spend in the woods or on the lake. Time that we will never see again.

Not having a car, changes Everything. People who have their own vehicles, take a lot of stuff for granted. Not owning your own car, makes you totally aware of some of the disadvantages of going green. Just getting to work on a rainy day, on a bike, SUCKS! Waiting for buses all the COLD Winter, SUCKS! Going fishing, only where you can go by bike or bus, SUCKS! Carrying more than 3 or 4 plastic grocery store bags of food home, on a bike or bus, SUCKS! Even dragging two full bags around for an hour is no picnic, compared to just laying them on the back seat or in the boot of your pollution belching, gas guzzling car, truck or van.

Yup, yup, I should have been born rich I guess. Why couldn't my daddy have been some kind of big shot business man, instead of a poor carpenter? Why didn't I go to some fancy pansy college and get my wee self educated, proper-like?

It's interesting to note how this sustained rainy weather, plays on my mind here to-day. Seems that sunny days are my creative times and dreary days remind me of what could have been. Jeez, it's No wonder then, that I've ALWAYS preferred nice weather over the cruddy stuff...

A hyper-link to my wee Fishing related website...

Ultra-lite Fishing lures are a pretty Kool little Collectible, in their own right. I find them a great study in ingenuity.

Here's the flip-side picture of one of my little high-tech, shirt pocket sized, tough plastic tackle-boxes.
Tiny Tackle

I just LOVE the tiny little Canuk built (Windsor Ontario) Flatfish, that's snuggled up to the jointed Rocky Jr. which is just to the left of the Canadian made, Gold Williams' Wabler in the second smallest size made.

This sweet little, inch long banana bait, is a Real killer on cold-stream Brookies and Rainbows or Browns if they're around too. It's rigged with a very small, single hook, ready to be baited with a bit of worm or whatever if ever necessary. ;-)

If I had to give up ALL of my neat little Collectibles, save one group, it would most certainly be the Tiny Tackle collection, that would be the last to go, when the dust settled! :-)

later,

Teeny Tiny Tackle...

Here's the shot of one side of a box of tiny Fishing tackle.

Ultra-lite Fishing Tackle

I Love these clear (smoked) plastic modern-day tackle boxes, and not only for the tiny stuff depicted here, but for all my lures, from just Bass lures, to Walleye lures, and right up to my deadly Hog-Fishin' lures! :-)

What do you keep your little lures in?

Who was Leo Tolstoy?

A revelation...

I just recently discovered a great man with amazingly different views than those around him and who totally believed in what he did and thought. I wish I would have heard of Leo Tolstoy years ago when I too, was a bit of a rebel and didn't like being force fed my lessons in the schools. Especially, when nobody seemed to like my ideas, of how things worked. If I had known of this extraordinary individual back then, I would have been able to follow his guidance, knowing that I was NOT alone out there, in my way of thinking, after all...

If you are up for a very interesting read, click this hyper-link below and visit Leo Finegold's excellent website, devoted to Tolstoy, the simply amazing human being. Thank you Mr. Finegold for creating this fine website!

Tolstoy was REAL...

If you want more info, just Google Tolstoy and be prepared to have your mind opened...

Thanx for droppin' in to my little blog to-day.
